You can do two things with the “Link to Document” function. You can link via “Hyperlink” out to a location, e.g., it could be on a google drive or a SharePoint site. The other option is if you select “Project Document” from the drop-down, you can link the register items to a document that has already been saved against the project.
Link via Hyperlink
Select “Hyperlink” from the drop-down menu to open the pane. Add the link details for the document you want to add to the project.
- Click SAVE and exit the pane.
- The document will show in the register.
Link via Project Document
- Select the option “Project Document” from the drop-down menu.
- Select the document you want to link to, by checking the left-hand box.
- Click SAVE and exit the pane.
- Your document will be linked to your entry in the register.
