Project Documents includes visibility of documents attached to risks, issues and registers.
To view Project Documents, select the Project from the Programme tree, in this example we have selected “STP Development”.
- Navigate to the Project Artefacts.
- Select Project Documents from the drop down.
If there are documents saved against records in a register (or risks and issues), this is indicated by the count next to the register name.
Show/Hide Documents Categories
Customers with large numbers of registers may find it easier to view documents attached to the project, by using the “Hide Empty Categories” function.
The Show/Hide categories option is saved as a user preference so is retained as you navigate between different projects.
Option to Hide Empty Categories
Clicking ‘Hide Empty Categories’, hides and categories from view that do not have any documents attached.
Note: The groupings for categories are still displayed to provide context.
If a project has no documents and you have selected to hide empty categories, there will be no category selected in Project Documents to add documents to. If you click ADD, you will be prompted to select a document category before uploading the document.
Add Button
The ADD button for adding project documents is displayed but is not enabled when documents cannot be added. A tooltip with the reason has been added:
In the example above, documents cannot be added directly to the change log register from Project Documents so the Add button is not enabled and the tooltip explains why.
Edit Button
To edit Project Documents, Risk and Issue Documents and Register Documents; navigate to the column headed “Record Description”
- Click ‘Edit’ to open the project properties modal
Expanding the register documents category displays the same documents grid as for other document categories but with some differences: The ADD button is not available (documents must be added to the register record from within the project register as before.).
- Navigate to the column headed “Record Description”
- Click the “Record Description” hyperlink to navigate to the register.
- Click the pop-out icon, opens the register entry.
