Project Managers have a number of responsibilities when managing their projects. One key responsibility is time management, an integral aspect of any project. Time sheets are important because they allow Project Managers to monitor how team members are performing against planned estimates and assigned efforts.
To support this, Cora provides the capability for time sheets submitted by contributing team members to go through an approval cycle. This enables Project Managers to review and approve submitted hours, reject time sheets logged against incorrect areas, and identify team members who have not yet submitted their time.
In some cases, large or complex projects may require project management support from more than one person. One such activity may be the approval of time sheets. Cora supports this by allowing Project Managers to designate other team members as Delegates to approve time sheets submitted for the project. This is an opt-in setting that can be applied on a project-by-project basis. For smaller or less complex projects, where a single Project Manager oversees all activities, it may not be necessary to assign additional approvers.

At the same time, Resource Managers must maintain oversight of where their team members (incumbents) are working and be able to approve or reject their recorded work, particularly in cross functional or matrixed organizations. This aspect of human resource management is independent of specific projects, as team members may be contributing to multiple projects as well as business-as-usual (BAU) or overhead tasks. Cora supports this by allowing submitted time sheets to be routed to designated Resource Managers for approval. This enables them to review claimed hours, reject time entered against incorrect areas, and track compliance with time sheet submissions.
