Add a Single Task
You can right click on the task you want the new task to fall either side of and click Add Task, or select the task and select Add Task from the add menu on the toolbar.
The system will show a template box requesting simple details relating to the new task.
- Choose where you wish the new task to be added, i.e. before or after current task, at the same level, or as a sub task.
- Select a suitable name for the task, input duration and enter the start date.
- You may also assign a resource to this task at this point.
- Select OK.
Add Multiple Tasks
This option allows the user to add a number of tasks at the same level or as sub–tasks.
Right click the task you wish to add multiple tasks to and select Add Multiple Tasks, or select the task and select Add Multiple Tasks from the add menu on the toolbar.
The “Add Multiple Tasks” box will appear.
- Select the level where the new tasks should appear and input the task details.
- To navigate down the template, you can use the tab key on your keyboard.
- When added, select OK.
Add Recurring Tasks
A recurring task might be something that needs to happen weekly/monthly during the project lifecycle.
- Right click the task you wish to add the recurring task beside and click Add Recurring Task, or select the task and select Add Recurring Task from the add menu on the toolbar.
The data entry screen will appear.
- Select where the new tasks should appear, whether at the same level or as sub-tasks.
- Enter the name of the recurring task.
- Select the frequency of the task using the option in recurrence pattern and range of recurrence.
The recurring task will be displayed with the below recurring task icon in the info column:
